Deccan Exotics India F.P.O., a National Award-winning Farmer Producer Organization (2022, Ministry of Agriculture), is committed to achieving globally recognized certifications, with a primary focus on avocado production, followed by dragon fruit and macadamia cultivation. By adhering to standards like Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and VIET GAP, we ensure our produce meets the highest quality and safety requirements, enabling farmers to access premium markets. Our goal is to achieve GAP certification by 2028, empowering our network of over 2,500 farmers across 23 states to compete in the $20 billion global avocado market and growing demand for dragon fruit and macadamias.

Our focus on GAP and VIET GAP ensures that our avocados, dragon fruit, and macadamias meet global benchmarks for safety, sustainability, and quality. This unlocks higher revenues, better credit access, and improved farm safety for our farmers.

What We Do

Deccan Exotics is dedicated to guiding farmers toward certification readiness, with a primary emphasis on avocado cultivation, followed by dragon fruit and macadamia production. We implement rigorous standards at our 40-acre Sangareddy farm, ensuring compliance with GAP and VIET GAP requirements, such as sustainable farming practices, traceability, and post-harvest quality control. Our training programs educate farmers on certification processes, from soil management to pest control, ensuring their produce—high-oil-content avocados, high-Brix dragon fruit, and premium macadamias—meets export standards. Through partnerships with SOFRI-Vietnam, ICAR-Tumkur, and Himalayan Florica, we provide technical support to help farmers achieve certifications, opening doors to premium markets in the US, Europe, and Asia.
